Speed-Sensorless Control of Induction Motors With an Open-Loop Synchronization Method

Speed estimation schemes based on the closed-loop synchronization (CLS) methods for speed-sensorless control of motor drives attract much popularity due to several advantages, example, easy implementation, high flexibility, and acceptable performance. However, most existing CLS-based may suffer from performance degradation during frequency ramps. Considering this, an attempt type-3 phase-locked loop (PLL)-based scheme is made. This solution, however, adversely affect system dynamics stability margin. To address these issues, open-loop (OLS) method proposed induction in this article. In scheme, estimated speed obtained according sinusoidal signals their time-delay signals, rather than increasing order. With margin are maintained. practice, disturbance dc offsets concern drives. Thus, a flux observer adopted guarantee under offsets. The OLS investigated compared with that CLS PLL through experimental tests.
